View out my window

Back to the blog

After considerable time away from this blog---it is time to get down to business and continue my thoughts.

I recently moved into a new home in northern Georgia and I love the view outside my library window. Tall trees sway in the wind, naked of leaves but with hope of new growth to come with the approach of spring.

Georgia's on my mind

Finally moved into our new home in Hoschton, Georgia, the city filled with enough scarecrows to try to win a spot in the Guiness Book of Records for the number of straw-built creatures. More than 5400 scarecrows line roadside fences, parking lots and town squares.

Chateau Elan, a north Georgia winery is right around the corner and the mountains aren't too far off in the distance.

Happy New 2008

Happy 2008 to all. Let this year be the one you find your self. Live--laugh--love who you are.

Let your light shine.

This beautiful swallowtail butterfly stopped by our butterfly garden to pay us a vist. The lantana bush's flowers were the draw.

Swallowtail butterflies can be this darkish black coloration. They can also be a bright yellow with the same distinct markings.

A regal Queen

This Queen butterfly sat and posed on this milkweed plant in my backyard.

One of the milkweed butterflies, the Queen butterfly resembles both the Monarch and the Viceroy butterflies.
